What's the price you're willing to pay for a used Technics SL-1200MK2? I just want to know your opinion on this as I'm new to this kind'a stuff.

Most of the tt sir walang cart. So you have to buy one. Meron naman na budget cart, ask TAS, for this. LENCO ayaw mo sir?

this is too low...generally the trend is higher prices because it's a discontinued product...quite annoying actually if you want to buy a used one..what normally went for about $300, sometimes go as high as $700...a brand new one, in box, will fetch easily $1k...

I got mine for 12th sir! Mixx was selling a pair of mk3 for 20th each mint cond, aaron also sold his mk3 pair for 35th! :) you really have to wait for a great bargain, or end up paying too much for a mid priced tt.

Didn't know this has been discontinued. :(
On the other hand it will become a collector's item.
But if prices keep getting higher, other options become more attractive.

PS: This is not a solicitation to buy or get one now.

PD: have a sl1200 :)

I now live in North America where prices have gone up drastically. Asia is a better place to source bargains. I have an old 1200 I sold for $150 dollar late last year. It was all banged up, the rca's were shot and needed a total overhaul. There's still a market for it. Since Panasonic's patent on the 1200 technologies have expired, you see lots of competing products that have the same technology for a cheaper price.

The new 1200 in the market is the Stanton st-150. A table that is superior to the Technics in every technical way. I can't vouch for the sound though as I have yet to hear one.

Not in a DJ's point of view. The pitch control of Stantons, Vestax and Numarks don't hold like the Alps (pitch fader used in Technics) does. Also, if you were to inspect whats inside a Stanton, you 'd probably stay away from it. So the "superior" title isn't appropriate. It still needs to prove itself if it will last for more than 2 decades of daily abuse like what the legendary Techincs 1200/1210s have gone through. With the number of 1200 made and some still available brand new in boxes, Stanton is still not capable of replacing Technics in it's glory.

Lastly, the super OEM turntables have featured unnecessary gimmicks that aren't really needed. Like the extra pitch range, reverse, extra weight (Stanton cheats on this one), etc.
