Notes to ponder on while work is in progress:

Presently listening to FATHA's Misty and Rikki Lee Jones Hi Lili Hi Lo, a few of the vinyls which I was able to restore. The Denon 103R played it well but I can clearly distinguish the differences between the Ebony body and the stock plastic body, especially on the high notes. Rikki's voice is nasal, but I remember she can belt out the high notes with ease. With the stock Denon, I can clearly hear the clipping of the voice.

Jim Keltner's "Improvisations" from the drum track album is very tight, but I couldn't seem to get the full bodied sound of the drums. Hmmm, I have to rework on the stuffing of my speakers, and replace the polyfill with new ones :)

I'll have to do work to transform the stock Denon 103R to the Ebony 103R.

I may be able to do the TANGO with Laurindo Almeida sometime soon, time to bring back the Rosewood in ACTION :)

My system is still work in progress, but now I'm giving it more attention :)

After almost 9 months of sleeping over the plans for the headshell assembly of my tonearm, finally I was able to have the assembly sent to the shop and machined to fit :) Now, the true test of my turntable will come after I'm done with a couple of things:

1. Rewire a new power line to my system;
2. Have the new glass platter fabricated;
3. Rework on the new plinth ( the plinth and platter isolation I earlier designed was suited for the gimballed tonearm, not the uni pivot);

Now my problem is that I have this project on going :D :D ..... .while also working on my other two projects ( the Bimmer project and my MTB ) :o :( :(

And my other hobby is also taking much of my weekend :P :P :D :D :D :D

Salamat Obet :) Yup, I can say that this is far better than my old tonearm :) But I still have to have a glass platter made for this TT, what I'm using now is the one I made for an abandoned plinth/platter project :)

Instead of me doing the DIYing for the wood body of the Denon DL103R, I had the plans drawn and sent this to the machinist for fabrication :) The guys at the shop made a tanguile prototype which is already with me and now they'll be doing the kamagong version :D :D :D :D :D I'll post the pics when I get home :)

So.... who wants an Alumnium body for their DL103r :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil:

Hmmmmm.... I think the "stoned" DL103r can be a reality afterall :D :D :D :D :D A JADED DL103r could be a very good experiment :?: :?: :?: :?: :wasntme:

Thanks Phil :) However, unlike before, I can't find time to really focus on the "do it yourself" style of fabricating these stuff thus I resorted to "farming" out the intricate jobs to machinists :)

And, yes, they really did a good job on the tonearm :)

Thanks Doc Odaey :) Nice seeing you lurking again :)

Yup, actually, not just the spindle, the headshell can be easily adjusted for a more accurate alignment :)
