Just came back from a 4 hour session in the 'No Holds Barred' room of Jack and it seemed more like I was held behind bars and didn't want to leave after each piece of music has been played. And before I knew it it was dark already outside. Time flies fast when music flows. This is an all out assault at home audio, building a system that could play anything, from a cappela to lively jazz to vocals to TIME WARP! Yeah, Also Sprach Zarathustra of Telarc was asking for more volume! From the softest to loudest passages, the system flies with superb colors. And I was able to hear for the first time the much vaunted Lyra Atlas, which is close to sounding like the you-know-what. And the Eera CD in my books is the best digital medium I have heard so far, capturing front to back depth of recordings that are rare to find in players that I have experienced. Also, I was given a sneak peak into the 'DEMO MUSIC' for the coming hifi show. Did someone say BIG too??? Whatever it is, I can say that the VS boys will be giving us a great show! :)

Still undergoing burn in of the ICs, PCs and the unit itself so it's hard to say where the Light Harmonic will be compared to the EERA Tentation after the requisite 250 or so hours more. As of now the EERA still has the redbook edge. Fuller, more spacious and no longer suffering from new cable edginess. We heard this DAC first in Singapore and it was scary good. So good we just had to take the plunge. Things get really interesting at 24/96 and "kamot ulo" good at 176 and 192 even with these units far from burn in. The DAC is 384 capable but I have no 384 files yet. Haven't tried DSD yet either. We will see............. ;)

Too bad this unit isn't ours (nabili na) and when the PureSound unit comes next year, I'll have to burn the new DAC in again. The price one pays for Eddie

Ding, dalhin mo! :)

Hey Jack, found this at the Light Harmonic website:

http://www.lightharmonic.com/lightspeed.html

Have you used this with your Da Vinci DAC? Am intrigued with it's specifications.

Hi Joey,

We have them arriving in two weeks or so. In fact I'll be in the states soon so maybe I'll just bring them home myself. The Da Vinci is sensitive to USB cables despite it being A'sync. Funnily what has worked best as far as being glitch free has been a Belden printer cable from Best Buy :D

Gavin Fish will be coming here soon to do some field upgrades to the DV in Titanium as he delivers the new Dual DAC in Silver.

I should update this page nga pala.

The Lair is now running all KR amplification since the Lamms that went out for home audition, nanikit at hindi na bumalik

Maybe you meant Belkin instead of Belden?

Hi Mike,

Those are T1610 triodes made by KR Audio. They can do about 50wpc each. In this amp they are paralleled SE for 100wpc.

I named them Hakeem and Kareem on the left and Patrick and David on the right. This is a family oriented site after all so I skipped the XXX monikers. :D :D :D
