Yes Joey, 5 independent 20A Duplexes on the floor and 2 on the front wall, for whatever might need them. They go to a Siemens panel along with the independent 15A lines for the sources along the left side of the room. It's actually overkill since we run 230v. When I was drawing up the room I was following the US manual requirements for the amps but realized that at 230v we need only about half the amperage compared to 120. Oh well, nandiyan na eh. :D

Well... you'll never know in the future if you need those for those megawatt amps :whew:

It's a well thought of plan for power distribution and saves a lot for those megabuck power cables

Hahahaha! Tama na!!!!! Hahahahaha!

I'm a SET and Solid State ZNFB Class A fetishist so big muscle amps ala Boulder and Karan aren't in my cards. Buti na lang!

I'm happy rotating between Lamm and KR Audio.

Those are T1610 triodes made by KR Audio. They can do about 50wpc each. In this amp they are paralleled SE for 100wpc.

I named them Hakeem and Kareem on the left and Patrick and David on the right. This is a family oriented site after all so I skipped the XXX monikers. :D :D :D

ha ha ha...my EL 84's suddenly feels so "inadequate"...EL 84 amps, that is...

BTW, have you seen the tube making video ("How It's Made" - Science Channel)...I believe it features KR Tubes...amazing stuff. Lots of labor involved. No wonder the tubes cost so much!

Heard the KRs with their 'long tall lean and mean' tubes. Sparklingly clear and open sounding. It's got the tube sound (obviously with those huge pyrex glass hotdogs) with good speed and transients of the SS designs. Again the VR 9-IIs are so revealing each substitution becomes an eye and ear opener. Problem now is, I gotta take another short vacation to get back to my sound or get another audio toy, pero wala na akong back-up copies for another X-deal. :D

Thanks Mike and Phil! The shocker was Baby Kronzilla (aka the point guards) driving the VR-9s all by their lonesome. At first I doubted they could do it but when I saw pics of them driving King Sound ESLs, that gave me the confidence. They really are little monsters with big balls! The OPTs Lundahl made for them just don't saturate!
