My New Audio Rack

My new audio rack just to tidy up my set-up. My heartfelt thanks to highlander for helping me get it done. The rack is made of solid wood from Baguio. It is a very heavy rack and 4 people will have a hard time carrying it. All the shelves are solid wood 2.5 inches thick and the posts are 2.5 square inches.

b. Conrad Johnson PV12 pre-amp (Mullard 12AU7, Mundorf Silver/Gold, interior and underside damped with Dynamat, upgraded power cables with hubble plugs)
c. Consonance Reference 2.2 CDP (Sovtek 6h30Pi, Mundorf Silver/Gold, interior, underside and CD tray damped with Dynamat)
d. VPI HW19MKIII with Rega RB700 and Denon DL103R GBM cart
e. Goldring GR1.2 TT on sandbox, Clear Audio Counterweight upgrade, Goldring 1042 Cart
f. Cambridge Azur 640P Phonostage Tweaked with blackgate. rubycon and panasonic caps and LM4562 opamps (see details here http://www.wiredstate.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=19390&p=300988&hilit=cambridge+audio+640P#p300988)
g. Denon AU300LC Step-up transformer

Thank you sa inyong lahat for the nice words.

Keith, it a collection of learnings/knowledge from people I met at wiredstate and what I have read from various posts. kasama na doon yung nice set-up mo. I've made many of the WS set-ups as my inspiration.

Thank you WS!

Yup. Magkapatid ang set up namin. Pareho ng CDP at TT and then his CJ MV52 amp and PV6 pre-amp is the elder brother of my MV60 and PV12. :D :D :D

@Jen, sakto! Bang for the buck ang Paul Speltz! it stopped me from from looking for interconnects and speaker cables:)

@Val, The top slab is removable. May butas sya sa ilalim to connect to the posts. Yung top slab pa lang pag buhat namin ang bigat na. I strained myself pushing it to position after I connected all the wires. B.A.S.T.O.S. rack c/o highlander.

@Doc Randy, It kind of matched the wood accent on the VPI TT and the Consonance, tsaka yung speakers. I had drawers made para lalagyan ng mga tubes and other abubot ba...

Thanks for the compliments.

I have just taken the plunge and got myself a new valve phono preamp. The preamp has 4 - 6111 tubes, has volume control and can be directly connected to an amp. It has selectable switch for MM/MC. Has fixed and variable outputs. Variable is used when connecting directly to the amp.

Vinyl listening is now at a new level with this pre-amp and everything just simply opened up. It needs to breakin though and I don't know how long it will take to fully break it in, but out of the box, the sound is glorious (for lack of a better word).

Tim Paravicini is really a genious!

Thank Elmer, Jon and Jon!

@Jon Agner - malaki ang difference. Talagang proven na na sakal ang tunog ng Azur, that's why I'm thinking of replacing the opamp of the Azur to an LME49720HA. Ito yung metal radial opamp which according to some sites are far ahead in terms of airiness versus the LM4562. I think the Azur is faster though by a bit, maybe it needs to break in pa.
