forced to sell my lovable Tannoy Fusion 2 to a contractor who was doing work in the office and who slightly damage the speaker's cabinet. :(

as a result, forced myself to an upgrade but still in the sub P20K level.

Ta-Dah!

I got a Dali Zensor 3, wanted to try a new sound and this bookshelf has many rave reviews from editors and users.

My impression is consistent with the reviews in the internet.

On a personal note, their behavior is reminds me of Epos Epic 2: well balanced, neutral and transparent, crispy high and with ample lows.

Combi of modern (piano finish of front baffle) vintage (light walnut body) look, sexy and sophisticated, beautiful to the eyes.

Thanks for looking.

last March, after I had a chance to audition, I replaced all OEM power cord with Furutech DIY. the overall result on my system is like they have been fed with vitamins. highs are softer and still extended, mids are more full bodied and lows are more evident. the change in power cord was really evident, this is a clear observation using the Xavian Altea speaker.

due a visit in Audio Amplified for a replacement of speaker terminal on my tube amp, i had a chance to audition this beautiful Castle Richmond 7i with super high-end line magnetic tube amp. myself and my 16 year old son immediately got hooked. we tried my tube amp after the repair if it can handle this speaker and the answer is kayang-kaya. we had a huddle before making any decision, he was more into it than myself. within a week, brought home this baby for its beautiful English sound and to show support to my son.

musical and lively.
open and expansive sound stage.
great 3D sound, instrument separation and placement is very precise.
very good balance high, mid and low.
fast, agile but not fatiguing, warmish but engaging.
high is crisp.
mid is warm.
low is ample but not overbearing, round sounding, not muddled.
revealing, brightly recorded music will sound bright and forward sounding.
it sounded fast and tight with the SS amp and malambing and meatier with the tube amp. detailed in both cases.
beautiful cabinet finish, very pleasant to the eyes.

still made in England.

associated equipment:

1) cayin 265ai + morrow IC + marantz cd6005 + Cal's SpkWire
2) tube amp + morrow IC + marantz cd5005 + Cal's SpkWire

thanks for looking.

With your three systems, I can just imagine yourself immersed in musical enjoyment through the day. The only part of your day that is a musical mystery for me is your commute. I am returning to this hobby after more than two years absence. I just set up a bedroom system and having music again has made me feel more positive. I play my system through my sleep. It is so wonderful to doze off to music and to wake up to music. I can just imagine all the positive vibes you get from music the entire day.

sabi ng mga friends ko na di ko parating nakikita, i am looking younger as i get old. stress reliever and feel good talaga when I listen to music. joke ko sa office, "pagnakinig kayo sa magandang set-up para na rin kayong naka hit ng target (sales target context) nyo" he he he... :D

If word gets around and your office staff start to look younger, you just might put Vicky Belo out of business.

Hi sir luis, i notice that you have cayin 265ai. I am planning replace my marantz pm6005 with 265ai. Do you think it is a go or no? It will be paired with kef q300. Thanks for the help sir.

I heard the q300 in watt hifi, very musical and lively. 265ai is neutral warmish, very good all-arounder, value for money, plenty of power. if you like the sound combo, go for it. 265ai is a big jump from pm6005 IMHO.

lets formulate to equation:

q300 : detailed, musical, lively, neutralish + 265ai : neutral - warmish, plenty of power = full sounding combo with lots of details and musicality.

if the q300 is not fatiguing, GO ka na. plus 265ai has a lot of rave reviews which are all true based on my experience.

May I ask:
1) are you a golfer?
2) what are the stands that the vr 1 speakers are sitting on?
