my sanctuary was closed for almost a month, July - Aug. installed wooden bookshelves to replace a fixed TV rack, was completed and returned to normal last Saturday only. also, picked-up a NAD 375.











the change gave the speakers more breathing room.

let me share some listening session experiences:

last Sunday - The combination: Xavian Piccola + NAD 375 + Cayin CD50T: warm, full-bodied, round, room-filling, non-fatiguing and polite. Good enough to make me sing some few lines, nadala ako, di ko na napigilan.

last Monday - Was listening to some familiar CDs: Diana Krall, Fervent 99 (New Wave Love Songs) and Bob Marley. The combination sounded clear and more alive. The sound stage was wide and full but not fatiguing. I ended up looking forward to the next listening session.

did some toeing-in of the speakers and there was a noticeable improvement on the sound quality: fuller and more defined listening sweet spot.

let me share the listening experience in the bedroom.

nad 375 is warm and musical while epos epic 2 is neutral (for me) with balanced tone. what you get on the match is full round sound with good details that is agile and engaging. the biggest surprise for me was the source which is just a philips bdp (model bdp 2500). overall impression for me is you hear a very nice showroom level of sound quality.
