si robert kay george ko nakilala. lurker lang sa pdvd and ws. vintage din ang hilig. he has passed on the virus to a lot of pinoys here in SG. ang hilig mag assemble ng systems sa newbies!
si conrad kumpare namin ni knoxv. Dr din ang wife nya, kasamahan namin. lurker lang din. haha.

Sirs, to clarify: if and when I can sneak into Sing, the ultimate vinyl store is ADELPHI? That is the impression I'm getting from the various posts on this thread. Hope you could enlighten me.

Or would it depend on the titles I'm looking for?

Thanks.

IMO, adephi is a good one stop shop for visitors
convenient, accesible, in the city, madaling hanapin

ADELPHI: new gears/ vintage gears
entry level: to high end
digital/ analog
andoon na lahat

LP: 2 stores sa basement
1 shop level 2
3 shops level 3
1 shop level 4
prize: from 5$-------> up to only God knows how much( used LP's worth 500$ is not uncommon)

Peninsula plaza: bldg sa tapat lang ng Adelfi: level 2 3-5 $ LPs. ukay ukay style, fun but not convenient if you are in a hurry.

KAPO: our LP heaven
near Tai seng MRT
not in the city, medyo di kadaliang hanapin for a visitor/ tourist
but worth it pag nakita mo,
some vintage gears available
cheaper priced than adelfi
vgood service

PM lang ser, SG buddies are always willing to help

Maraming salamat, JBL4311. Much appreciated. Nakaka-excite tuloy gumaya sa ibang mga WS members na nagpupunta lang ng Sing to buy albums tapos umuuwi din sa gabi parang nagMCS lang.

Bros,

I've been tinkering with the idea of going analog however I really have no idea where to start so I hope you could help me with the ff. :

1. What sort of budget should I consider for pretty decent setup ?
2. Which turntable, a Rega or Project ? any other brands?
3. What other factors should i consider?

Patulong naman ga sir... Maraming salamat :)

Hi Jack Ryan,

Welcome to WS. Marami nang threads about your query. You can use the search field and type: need help setting up a basic turntable system or entry level audio system setup. Another route to take would be to scroll down all the threads under the Analog headings, Members' Set up and Hardware.

I'm a Rega user. If you ask me, I'm partial to having an all-Rega set up. But that is just me. Much would depend on:

1. your budget
2. the dimensions of your room
3. your satisfaction level

Lastly, don't be in a hurry. Audition or try out as many set ups as you can. Reach out to TAS and Hypertiode for additional inputs.

All the best,

Von
