Ingat ka lang sa SImLImo if you are planning to buy electronics. Marami na ring loko dyan and they are aware kung Noypips tayo. Normally, dyan talaga marami electronics, just make sure lang na may warranty and better kung mag canvass ka sa maraming stores din inside.

just an advise.

@ squatt3r ,

medyo mahal sa roxy square. the best is to go through the dealers that don't own shops. at least mababa yun overhead cost nila. pwede din dun sa mga shops sa upper weld road. but we only frequent a few shops there that we trust. alam mo naman, yun vintage ay walang warranty. so it is best that you're reassured that you can return the item if there is a problem.

@ serpentboy, you can go to Redpoint Records @ Kapo Factory. but it's only open on weekends. here is the link.
http://lprecords.vox.com/

you can also pass by upper weld. there is a flea market near sim lim tower. in this flea market you'll see jeprox (because of his long hair). i don't have his exact name. he sells a lot of LPs.

hope this helps. mas expert sila georgepogi and bobT. maybe they can suggest more.

serpentboy,

Lps ke Uncle Jeprox (open field besides Sim Lim Tower) starts around $2-$3, best day to go there is on a weekends especially in the mornings, doon kasi naglalabas ng new batch si Jeprox....while at redpoint (kapo factory),prices starts around $8 (regular) to as much as $150 (for the hard to find titles), ok rin dito sa kapo coz very friendly and accomodating yung owner na si Mr.Ong,me free drinks and oreo cookies pa... :) :) :D ..plus you can test play the Lps before buying it.....kaya lang weekends lang siya open...but its worth the trip....teka,are you based also in Singapore?.....

elvin,

meron akong bagong place na nadiskubre bilihan ng vintage amps and Lps...... :x :x :x :x ;) ;) ....tip ni Mr.Tiu...  .....as a matter of fact hawak ko na ibidinsiya.....   ....sorry,lumabas ang pagka-bisaya ko.... ;)

My family and I are going on a vacation in Singapore from tonight until Monday evening. Is there a place in Singapore like Raon in Sta. Cruz or Sham Shui Po in Hong Kong where I can buy electronic parts like resistors, caps and tubes?

hello Felix!

The band of brothers in Singland take me to Well Audio and Martin Electronics in Burlington Square right across Sim Lim. the proprietors like Filipinos because of the great impression given by the likes of Edwin, George, Bob, Elvin, Ronnie, etc.

nice to know you and your lovely wife and children are taking a vacation. have a great time there!
