Mel,
just kinda curious about your retail price for the Shanling CDT200?
retail price in Singapore S$2500..got my CD-T100 here for S$2000. A relative in NJ wants to me handcarry either a T200 or T100 on my next business trip this April...kung mas mura, advise ko na lang dyan kumuha sa 'yo.
Thanks :)

Hello Mel! Here in Philippines, the system is 60Hz, 220V. If one would like to order let's say a Music Hall MM5 turntable w/ cartridge, 60Hz, 220V would you be able to serve? How much is the price?

Hi Corrsty, the voltage difference will be a minor issue since we can use either a transformer or an AVR to get 110V. Big problem is if you get a 50Hz unit and there is no provision for 60Hz.

When I was in grade six, my father bought our first stereo system, anchored on a Pioneed turntable (Rondo 2000). I was the one who set it up, S-type tonearm, rather straightforward 'table, t'was easy to set up. There was already a spindle or pulley attached to the motor by which you just attach the belt from the platter. What I noticed was the pitch seems to be higher, songs noticeably faster, it was an abnormal phenomenon. So I re-read the manual and discovered the culprit to be of wrong speed (faster RPM of the platter). I then changed the spindle or pully to the smaller one, intended for 60Hz operation and this rectified the playback error.

Do you also have MMF 5 'table?
