For a more tourist-friendly shopping experience - try the electronics supermalls across the busy Shinjuku main train station. Bic Camera and the like provide entire floors for hifi.
Its best to ask the locals where they buy their stuff, but Japan is horribly expensive so good luck. Still, it doesn't matter. Its a joy to explore Tokyo's electronics havens even without buying.
