Service Manuals of Japanese audio amplifiers

Postby darkest_error » Thu Sep 17, 2015 10:06 am

Does anyone know a source wherein I can get service manuals of vintage Japanese audio amplifiers? These amplifiers were only released in japan. I recently purchased a Trio integrated room amplifier. thanks.

actually, one of my option is to just look for a Kenwood integrated amp model that have similar controls as compared to what i have and probably have the same technical specs. Although I'm still hoping I may stumble upon the original service manual.

Have tried checking hifiengine before. No Trio, but there's Kenwood. For sure there are still a lot of Trio amps around and most likely the service manuals are just there...out there. :whew:

same looks...

a Trio KA-5300 version?

Just acquired a Trio KA-5300 integrated amp and I cant seem to find the user's or service manual for that amp. I'm thinking would this Kenwood KA-3500 be the closest thing to the seemingly earlier Trio KA-5300? They have the same power rating, size and weight. The controls were just somehow rearranged. The Kenwood used only single supply for both channels while the Trio used separate power supplies for each but with only one transformer. Could this be the closest to Trio KA-5300? thanks!!

actually i already downloaded that one, just wanted to know if there might be available online for the KA-5300. Thank you sir! I would totally agree about how good it was built, all parts are of high quality considering the age. Just have to spray a few contact cleaner on the balance and tone bypass switch as they were scratchy. But they're ok now.
