I've seen an article saying that this

Big Bad Ass Luxman M-6000

needs 3 days, i'll say it again, 3 days

to heat up and reach its peak

and perform at its best!

There seems to be a few owners/users of

Sansui 9090db....

How about a

Marantz Model 2325?

Any happy owner/user?

Both are made during the heyday of solidstate during the 70's

Both produces 125wpc

Both are equally great looking vintage ss stereo receiver....

i am encouraging my friend to revive his marantz receiver... dami pa ba sir parts ang marantz? not yet sure of the specific model... it will power an old pair of Pioneer HPM series that will also need some "recon".

may sagot ako diyan: e di NAKAWIN! :D

Doc,

i broached the idea of reviving old/broken Marantz/Pioneer/Sansui classics.. Mang Rod just shook his head and muttered na mahirap na raw gawin yun bec the resistors, diodes, capacitors were far far different than what is being manufactured nowadays. in other words, mahirap nang makakuha ng piyesa na kagaya ng orig :(

BUT

this does/will not deter me from going after the 2325.

(magkano kaya bentahan ng 2325 ngayon?)

Totally agree. MR tried his hand on my not too vintage Sansui Z5900 that went up in smoke. He gave up after replacing some parts and could not get it singing. His recommendation was to replace the IC which is quite imposible to find in RP. Ergo, take good care of your vintage treasures :)

So to all Bakal Boyz,
Take good care of your vintage treasures! Don't take it for granted!
Lalo na 'yung mga original pa ang mga parts!
Mahirap na humanap sa panahon ngayon.
'Wag masyado alipinin! Mag collect, para salitan ang gamit!
BTW ganda nun G-7500 mo sir Skee!
