One can move downhill or uphill. No doubt in my mind which path you will take!

You have aced your entrance exams; now the door is wide open for even bigger and greater things. My best wishes and best of luck to you and Marlene!

Sad, but true. Life goes on. This is my greatest fear that I have to deal with later in life; that our only child will leave us to build her own life. Good luck to you and your dear wife Francis :)

Same here, I'm feeling the changes of kids growing up. One has started college a couple of month ago and I am beginning to think about what is in store for kids after college. Hope they can find suitable and nice jobs here so that they wouldn't have to 'fly away' and leave an 'empty nest' here. All the best, Francis and Marlene. :)

Francis,

Yes, life just has to move forward I guess :)

Anyway, my previous employer once told me how he went forward after all his children have settled down. He and his wife spent 6 months travelling around europe on backpack :) Well, the best part of that was both of them enjoyed the travel and each others company :)

Take it slow pace in moving forward and just enjoy the flowers. You and your wife have earned it :)

at a certain point in life, parenting has to take a backseat as your kids have separate lives of their own to venture, enjoy and be successfull in their fields. kung baga, supporting role na lang and its up to them to look back and may be spoil you with graces in return one way or the other. but life after parenting must go on especially so that you have another one big family to tend to, the WS community.

Congrats and i wish you and your wife all the best in life! :D

hi francis, at least you have 2 good reasons to visit australia! Although i know you've already been down under quite a few times already. Anyway you have a few more years before you become a member. A member of the grandparents club  :D

Fantastic shot!

Carlo seems destined to be an MNC top honcho--may pinagmanahan!

What's Mela studying now? I took my daughter (now 10) on tours of Columbia, Harvard, MIT on our last trip. She wants to study Education. That's what Mela took in Stanford, right?

Lastly, if you ever decide to do a Warren Buffett or a Bill Gates and bequeath your wealth to charity, I'd like to pitch as a receipient. :D

Francis

If you miss raising two children, Ding and I are "isip bata" enough to qualify. I have a feeling we would make great brothers. :D

You can also think of us as a free, in-house quality control department for Mrs. Sogono's cooking!

yup.. we will gladly play with your toy cars, your toy watches, your toy cameras, your toy stereos and everything else around the house.. and we will put them back when we're done - like good kids always do.

and you won't have to deal with leftovers in your fridge

would you believe she's doing a masters course on interactive and industrial design under Architecture. her Stanford masters was in Education on learning, development and technology after a computer science college degree. then she'll pursue a Phd in IT as a "final step"...sabi ko yun na yung mana nya sa amin - tuition. :)
