FS: Super-rare DYNACO ST-35 (AS-IS) - SOLD

Postby vintage_dog » Wed Dec 24, 2003 11:58 am

I got this unit from eBay and arrived safely this month.
I don't have time anymore to restore this amp, so I am selling this AS-IS.

This amp is considered as Dynaco's best-sounding amp and is very rare.
This unit is stock and will benefit from a re-build.
17.5wpc using EL84/6BQ5 output tubes.

Yours at cost for only P25K fixed.

this was the original seller's description at ebay:

"Nice sounding Dynaco stereo 35 tube power amplifier. this tube amp has had its power supply rebuilt professionally, the diodes were replaced. the tube amp is completely stock other than the power supply rebuild. as you know, this dynaco amp is considered by many audiophiles as the best sounding of all the dynaco tube amps. it uses the very musical 6bq5/el84 power tubes, 2 per side, 7247 preamp tubes, 1 per side. it is rated at 17 watts per channel. it has very high quality and very heavy transformers, nice dynaco(david hafler) design and build quality, 8 and 16 ohm taps. this amp does not have the cage or the bottom. it has nice solid wood side panels and adjustable tiptoes for the bottom, nice touch. this amp sounds very nice, quiet, smooth, detailed, open, transparent, involving and musical. this amp is impressive and will tame those nasty edgy cds. this amp has a strong reputation and a vintage following for its superb sound quality and outstanding transformers. better get this one, ready to go."

sorry guys, sold na!...

lucky buyer plans to have this fully restored -- chrome-plate chassis and end-bells, new caps, tubes...this should surely look and sound great afterwards!

congrats!

Thanks for the tip. However, the funds I could have used to buy this amp are now reserved for one unit WS 300B (Bold Edition). ;)
