I'd love to rehash my diy skill with that magnavox single-ended.
What's the spec of the zenith?

Please line me up. Yung mga maunti lang ang tubes sana.

Thanks. :)

hi folks,

again, thanks for the enthusiastic response. as mentioned earlier, i can't accommodate everyone. as i have yet to check my stash, i thought of sharing some guidelines on how the amps will be given out:

1. priority is to the DIYer who is not in the audio trading business. i'd like the amps to go to folks with the passion to personally work on them and enjoy them.

2. a regular member who posts at the DIY section or other non-marketplace forums. it helps if i also know you already :-)

3. "first come first served" does not apply.

DIYer? well not in this context, :( more like a handyman-type of household/car kind of DIYer. am NOT in the audio business. presently overflowing in 'the passion to personally work on them and enjoy them' but unfortunately wanting in the know-how part. hence my determination to find a tube sensei who will be like a shadow, to help me out and guide me and carry me when i stray (ala footprints in the sand :lol2: ).

vintage_dog wrote:2. a regular member who posts at the DIY section or other non-marketplace forums. it helps if i also know you already :-).

toink! goodnight ako dito. neither and nor. :(

vintage_dog wrote:3. "first come first served" does not apply.

don't know where this puts me, i'm the 6th.

anyway, good luck to everyone who wants to enter this realm, especially the newbies. with sir VD and his giving away tube amps, i'm reminded of a scene in the matrix where morpheus gives keannu a red pill....

Can you please post the models so I can start searching for the schematic and see how hard the work would be.

looks like an Admiral with EL84 and push pull i have a similar one and i think it uses a pair of 12au7 and for the rectifier 5u4g? nice sounding amp, though mine wont be winning in any beauty pageants!

sir vd,

it has been a long time since i wanted to build a push pull amp from scratch. think this will make my life easier. i'm much willing to baby one of these if still available - preferably with 6v6 tube complement.
