What is the best 6GH8A for Dynaco ST 70 Series II

Would like to know what is the best 6GH8A tube for Dynaco ST 70 series II and if it will make a big difference if i change the tube. I currently use stock Dynaco 6GH8A made in China. Would appreciate ur recommendations and if u can describe the change. thanks

junk the china quickly.

you can use sylvania, GE is so-so, RCA is fine. you can sub 6u8a too. amperex, telefunken. they are readily available and cheap - less than 1000/pair

helo VD, i replaced my old pair of 6GH8A with an equivalent tubes. Cant remember the code. i will check it and post it tomorrow. Never use my ST70II and PA3II for a long time already.

6GH8A tubes are hard to find, not readily available in the local market. my new replacement pair are GE (printed with US military specs) 6U8A/6AX8 and at least, they are pretty neat, much better than the original 6gh8A which gave up already.

I would like to know if the tubes need to be matched or can I buy the tubes even if they are not matched. Thanks for the feedback.

You can just use the 6U8A which is available easily and price is very reasonable. It would be nice if they are matched. I just bought a pair which I've installed on a vintage Scott 222D.
