Thanks bros. Yes, the 2330B is a brute, but with finesse and sophistication! ;)

Just for fun, I tried a Sonic T Amp with the 15 ohm Rodgers. Given the fact that the T Amp has around 5wpc and driving 82db speakers, I was not expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised of the SQ. Volume level was at around 11:00.

- Quad 405( good)
- marantz PM4( better if using class A 30 watts)
- now: Dynaco ST 70( so far the best)

I've tried driving the LS35as w/ the Lamm M2.2 and they sound heavenly.... full bodied, textured & sublime highs.. a bit of a mismatch but fantastic nonetheless.

Quad II with GEC KT66 and Telefunken EF86 Long plates - sweet sounding music and the LS3/5A's uncanny imaging

Quad 303 - One of PJW's best creations - Tubey sound with ss speed

I recall reading that Lamm hybrids were one of KK's favorite partners for the LS3/5a. Too bad I don't have any trips scheduled to Cebu. I did hear the 1.2 Ref and LS combo of Sam and yes the combination along with the perfectly set up Element subs was fantastic.

Bunnie has been quiet. He has a hybrid bruiser integrated in his house. Wonder if he's hooked them up to his LS'? :$

Hi Jack,

I have tried the LSA Standard Hybrid Integrated Amp with the Rogers LS35A. Quite apparent was the very transparent and airy highs thus rendering a very nice soundstage. Mids were quite similar to the tube equipment I use which I thought was surpirising given that the LSA's amp section is solid state. I suppose the similarity was caused by the tubes of the preamp section. Very very enjoyable listening experience with this brute of an integrated amp of 250wpc with a pair of speakers rated at max of 25wpc.

There is only one big problem with the LSA Standard....it aint mine.

Hi, recently acquired a Spendor LS3/5a 11ohm version. Can't seem to find a good match for it. Have Cary SLI-30 EL84 push-pull, it sounds dull with the LS3/5a. Also have Yaqin MC13 EL34, it sounds a bit shut. Right now my LS3/5a lies beside my bed, and i just admire how collectible and beautiful it is.... Need a integrated that can open up these babies... :(

Im running out of options.... I noticed most of the amps here are not available locally... Maybe someone is generous enough to allow me to demo or sell me a tube integrated amp from their collection that will match my LS3/5a.. :(
