Spendor S3/5 with AB 1-anybody tried?

Good day guys, has anybody tried the spendor S3/5 and AB1 combo. How does it sound? Where can I audition or buy an AB 1 now a days?

I've lived with an S 3/5 for a long while. It's a very balanced sounding speakers with gobs of detail and quite an impressive bottom that a sub would hardly be necessary unless you're a bass lover. If it's balanced sound that we're talking here, you won't be missing anything; just let an ss amp drive it.

The AB1 may just complicate things with its already robust sound. But that's me!

Softclipper may have an AB1 in store.

Thanks for your insight. Yeah, In looking for balance and presently driving it with ss. I just want to hear the difference sana. OK so Ill try to use any sub first just to hear the difference. Will consider maybe an 8 inch velo. Any body whom I can request for audition?

Don't want to complicate life any more. But if you're bent on a sub, consider a rel too. They are known to integrate very nicely with stronger bass small speakers. Have fun.

Try an LS 3/5a too. You wouldn't regret it, specially if you're on nearfield listening. Enticing on th ears.
