DALI Loudspeakers Are Here!!!

Image

Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industry grew out of Scandinavia’s leading audio retail chain in 1983, when the staff realized
that customers often requested combinations of size, shape, performance and price that existing brands could not deliver.
Driven by raw enthusiasm and unbridled optimism, DALI set out to build those loudspeakers.

Constant monitoring of consumer feedback and close attention to the real needs of the music lover and home cinema
enthusiast continue to form the basis of DALI’s expansion and success in countries around the globe.

Explosive growth worldwide and a reputation for quality, reliability and integrity, DALI offers an exciting range to suit
every taste from the cost-conscious Concept series to the ultimate performance speaker the MegaLine. DALI
achieves a new level of sophistication in loudspeakers that are as attractive to the eye as they are to the ear.

Located in the beautiful rural countryside in the heartland of Denmark, DALI’s laboratory, factory and warehouse occupy
18,000 square meters including cabinet making, spray paint shop and state of the art research and development facilities
equipped with the most advanced technologies available.

The artists, artisans, craftsmen, technicians and engineers who make up the DALI team are naturally inspired by the long
Scandinavian tradition of fine furniture craftsmanship as well as the Danish academic tradition of theoretical research
in the acoustic sciences. By combining these two distinguished traditions, DALI has mastered the art of creating high
performance loudspeakers with elegant exterior design that also contributes to their sound quality. Because
standard, off-the-shelf drivers cannot live up to DALI’s strict requirements, drivers are designed from
scratch by DALI engineers in close collaboration with top engineers from some of the world’s leading driver manufacturers.

Acknowledging the importance of pride of workmanship, DALI abolished assembly line production years ago, replacing
them with one or two-person workstations where the workers take personal responsibility for the assembly, testing
and packing of every speaker. As a result, each DALI speaker carries a label with the builder’s signature to state that
visual, audio as well as electro acoustic inspection and test has been performed successfully.

This unswerving commitment to excellence shines through in every DALI loudspeaker.

In Admiration of Music.

Six Important DALI Sound Design Principles

Image

DALI designs drivers and crossovers to produce wide, even sound dispersion,
resulting in outstanding room integration, a larger sweet spot and a wider
listening area.

Image

The unique DALI drivers, optimised cabinets and carefully tuned crossovers
ensure optimal time coherence in the reproduced sound.

Image

DALI’s time coherence and low-loss technologies create a transparent,
holographic, three-dimensional soundstage.

Image

DALI’s linear impedance design ensures an audible reduction of amplifier
instability and coloration.

Image

Specially designed cabinets reduce resonances and coloration of the
sound for natural, realistic sound.

Image

Hand crafted from the fitting of the cabinet to final electro- acoustic
testing, each and every speaker is personally approved and signed
by the person who assembled it.

Helicon 300 (US SRP $2,995)

Dali Helicon 300 - The Obvious Choice!!

Helicon 300 emphasizes musical involvement, not analytical examination of
fragmented aspects of the music by a board of inquiry with the zealousness
of a meddling tax inspector. Yet its style is still both engaging and detailed.
With its exclusive design, Helicon 300 is all in all a serious contender in its
price range that definitely should be heard as well as seen, if you are
considering investing in loudspeakers at this price point.

I listened to the Concept 2 last Sunday and was pretty impressed by the quality of the sound, which was practically out of the box. We drove it with the Harman Kardon AVR 130 in two channel analog mode.

a pair is at home and surprisingly the Tono 300b drives them well for light jazz and vocals. bass goes low, so these speakers could rock with more power. am recommending this to a friend who's putting together a "budget" system. it does not have the refinement/smoothness of the sonus faber, but for a fraction of the sonus' cost, the c2 is a super bargain!

don't just take our word for it...again, try them in YOUR system....YMMV

The Concept 2 is great! I heard this with the Fase PF-45 integrated amplifier + Usher CD player + Audience cables and the music was great!

The materials we tested was from the interested buyer of the Fase but they all sounded great! Fast, lively, captures emotions and simpy great!

Did i say it was great?

It is!
