The DIY speaker wire made of Audience 18 gauge wire braided with teflon third wheel sounds superb in my system. It is not cheap compared to other DIY wires but it is worth every cent.

Highly recommended for DIY.

18gauge Audience hook-up wire, Black and Red, braided with Teflon tubes (Violet, no conductor).

Not my best braid by any means, due to the fact that the Audience wires are stiffer than the Teflon tube.
