oo nga, pero tahimik.

keith, if you're reading this. you should hear the 2A3 using a passive linestage with DACT (ala FT Audio). Malupet ang dynamics and resolution! Very neutral sounding. I want to challenge a SET 6C33 amp if there is any  yung 45 ko is being upgraded with plate chokes on the 417A/5842 driver stage, let's see how it improves. ;)

with that kind of sensitivity, i strongly suggest a passive with DACT or other great sounding stepped attenuator to fully harness the output tube characteristic and achieve least coloration (absence of preamp) but interconnects will play a great role. you may want to check with hansen's audio note ICs.

The Angel's Trumpets of Tatang Demonyo and The Dynamic Obelisks of Pharoah Keith-not-common are now playing.

Naguunahan na ng masasample na SET yung dalawa

Easy lang guys. Konting patience break in will take an arduously long time.

Cogent field coil compression horn system... 50lbs tweeters not and horn subs 'yet' shown. Was driven by Welborne's DRD 45 amps and UP linestage. More pics here: http://www.audiokinesis.com/vtv05/

Okay guys, here is something to tickle you a bit. Albert Von Schweikert designed these speakers specifically with the goals of providing full range and full dynamics while retaining the seductive qualities SET users love. All in a speaker that doesn't have to dominate a room with sheer bulk. Now we can say with absolute certainty that this is a winning design. presenting the Philippines first and only VSA DB-99 SE 99dB sensitive flat response from 25kHz to 21Hz. Now running with a Sun Audio 2A3 at 3.5 watts playing Full Orchestra and Bigband. You're choice of music will never have to be limited ever again to vocals and small ensembles.

Here it is................

currently using wharfedale diamond III with a tb2a3. volume pot set at 10 o'clock is decently loud enough for me.

We are considering doing a SET only room for the 2006 Nov HiFi Show.
We will feature 3 models with 3 very different pricepoints.

Do you think we should guys?

Jack,

OK siguro but what about those that are not really into using a SET Amp? Do you guys plan to get another room or maybe just hook up/share with other dealers?

Jack,

That would indeed be a refreshing departure from the usual megabuck, megawatt setups of the mainstream dealers. Properly done, your SET room may be able to convert some to the fleapower fold. :) I'm all for it!

Someone once said "if the first watt sucks, why do you need 199 more?" :D

We're looking at 2 rooms 1 SET w/ VR-1, LCR15, and DB-99 the other one with VR-4jr, VR-2 OR a VMX HT display. Keith will be ordering the Ribbon Supertweeter of the DB-99 very soon in preparation.

I said this year is HIS turn to bring his Big Rig
