sir,

the present available edge replacement in the market is made of foam and/or rubber. If that's a vintage speaker probably it's edge is made of cloth and has triangle like folds.

thanks

Benedict, thanks. I will. Next week MOn. or Tues. But you'd you like to see a picture of both 8 inch cones with melted foams? These are JPWs P1 speakers that I would want to see restored to original form and sound. You think it can be done? Foam surrounds easily disintegrate under our weather conditions. Would it be good to replace them with rubber, and what might that do to the sound you think?

Thanks. I will call later as soon as it's ready to go. Under what name is what I wanted to ask, yours or the shop?

sir ichabod,

Your JPW P1's can be restored to orignal sound and form, provided that it's not been repaired before or if repaired, original specs of the parts we're followed.

I suggest that we replaced it with foam surround (as per original), although we have tropical weather, foam edge doesn't easily melt (it needs extreme temp to melt) and it can last up to 5 years or more.

Ask for Benedict

thanks

Hey guys I've texted your 0918 number and I was asked to give my landline no. I've tried calling as well your cell but no one would answer.

Okay. These speakers were never repaired yet by anyone. I need a name to your address which I already know. Thanks.

The speakers you repaired came back to me in brand new looking condition. Good work in no time at all. There was more hassle to shipping them back, and when I had them on, these JPWs sounded very good on my single ended pentode amp at 3 watts per side. They were awesome on my stromberg carlson 433 pp el84 inte. A testament to your restoration genius!

thanks mojo.

I got edge replaced with foam but the other drivers are rubber edged.

It doesn't look too good because it is different and although I don't hear a difference in quality I prefer to replace them again as soon as I find rubbers.

If you do come across some 6.5 inch rubber edge just let me know thru PM. Thanks!
