Just saw the pics of the new CA Innovation TT chock full of new tech including an IR based speed sensor and the now ubiquitous CMB bearing assembly. What surprised me was the massive platter is no longer made of acrylic but rather POM which is better known as Delrin. What's the big deal? CA's "housesound" as MSM puts it is attributed mainly by the Suchy bros choice of high grade acrylic. So? Delrin is more identified with VPI's early house sound which has come full circle after their own fling with acrylic with the advent of the new Super Platters in that they have returned to the use of.....that's right POM/Delrin. Now both use Delrin with metal.

News is that CA has been voicing their new stuff to be warmer. First I heard of this was the reports on the new entry level MCs and later a report from a Goldie owner who went Goldie 2. Now it seems CA is doing the same thing they did for their carts to their tables.

Delrin being Delrin, which means it comes in any color as long as it's black, the CA Innovation is a mean looking black widow of a turntable. It will be debuted in the US at CES this week. I am very curious as to how well CA has begun to reinvent itself. One thing for sure, it means that the Suchy brothers are responsive to their clientele. I wish them luck!

Really? Pa-link ka naman diyan Arnie. I did see a pic of VPI's mew table that looks like a HW-19 but mass loaded a la Shindo and non-sprung.

Ako bahala sa iyo neber mine da deejays partner talagang pang limewire yan! Electronica na BANDA like Hex. Yun parang Cocteau Twins na ewan. Whatya say? Time flies while LP surfin faster than watching the second hand on a nice watch goin' round. Nyahahahaha!
