HRT (Hi Res Tech) Streamers

Postby fld » Tue Aug 16, 2011 6:40 am

Hi guys,

The following are already available here in the Philippines:

HRT -i Streamer

The iStreamer is a high performance audio interface that allows an Apple iPad™, iPhone® or iPod® and a home entertainment system to become perfect partners. With an iStreamer connected, you can enjoy true CD quality sound with the convenience of having all your music on one device.

Simply plug your iPad, iPhone or iPod into the iStreamer; plug the iStreamer into its included power supply and your home entertainment system. From the iPod 'App' on iPad or iPhone or directly on iPod simply push 'play' and enjoy unmatched sound quality and convenience. With its ultra high performance circuitry and host mode of operation (eliminating interface jitter) , the iStreamer renders the CD player and CD library obsolete. For the first time, you can enjoy a level of sound quality never before possible from a portable audio device.

The iStreamer provides full support for applications designed to run on an iPad, iPhone or iPod. The iStreamer allows you to connect to a home entertainment, television or stereo system to listen in high quality to Internet radio, streaming music and movies from providers such as Rhapsody™, Napster™, Pandora™, Netflix™ and other online services.

HRT- Streamer II

The Music Streamer II is a high performance audio interface that allows a
computer and home entertainment system to become perfect partners. With
its unique topology, the Music Streamer II provides a completely isolated path
between the computer and audio system. No more audio contamination by the
computer; your music will always sound its best. There are no external power
supplies to worry about because the Music Streamer II derives its power from
the USB, while completely regenerating power for all its internal circuitry using
a sophisticated set of proprietary circuits. The Music Streamer II’s
asynchronous mode operation eliminates timing errors (jitter) which further
improves music sound quality. Operation is simple: just plug the Music
Streamer II into any USB port on your computer and the Music Streamer II will
install itself and be ready in a matter of moments. Connect the other end of the
Music Streamer II into any analog input and you are ready to stream high
quality computer-based music, including playing your entire CD collection
through the computer’s optical drive. You’ll never need a CD player again to
enjoy high sound quality music.
The Music Streamer II provides full support for applications such as iTunesTM
and Windows Media PlayerTM direct to your home entertainment system with
a level of sound quality never before possible. You can also use the Music
Streamer II to listen to Internet radio or other music subscription services such
as RhapsodyTM, NapsterTM, PandoraTM, SpotifyTM, LastFMTM and many more in
high quality through your Home Entertainment System, Television or Stereo
System.

Latest Review of the HRT i-streamer and Streamer II.

http://www.upvery.com/70991-review-of-h ... eamer.html

http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue55/streamer.htm

At $149, the Music Streamer II is one of the great bargains in audio today. In a carefully considered system, it makes it possible for one to achieve a remarkable level of truly enjoyable fidelity from digital music files, and at an almost laughably low cash outlay. While some audiophiles may scoff at the low price, possibly equating it with equally low performance, nothing could be further from reality. I honestly can't imagine going forward without it! Very highly recommended!

Are the streamers considered also as a DAC and not just a USB/SDPIF converter?

The Streamer II, II+ and HRT PRO are dacs, asyncronous and 24/96.

They are not a USB/SPDIF converter. We have Halide Design The Bridge and those are specific USB/SPDIF Converters to be used with an existing dac.

I have the Music Streamer I connected to my desktop and Audioengine 2 powered speakers. SQ improvement is obvious.
Using quality USB cable enhances SQ further.

We carry a few brands of high quality USB cables ranging from P2,000 for 1 meter to up.

We so far have the ones of Analysis Plus, Voodoo cable. We also had Locus Design USB, but unfortunately Lee Weiland of Locus Designs passed away two weeks ago so no more available for the time being.
