What stuck in my mind all the way back to San Pablo is the utter effortlessness of the 2A3 and the Iwata horn in conveying the sound of theTrumpet and the Saxophone. The Iwatas were practically on top of our eardrums and would occasionally put out deafening decibels. It was deafening yes, yet pleasant. It was like hearing the blare of a live trumpet up close! I can's wait to hear the system in a large room. In the meanwhile, I'll have to settle for listening to it in Room #6 at the Show. At least it is larger than Rene's 1/2 room ;) ;) ;) .

I just got in this afternoon and spent about 4 hours listening to the setup. The description is so accurate. Larry's speakers are just unbelievable, from the fit and finish, to the crossovers and the sound...amazing! Then there are Mandy's creations. I just do not believe that the sound could be matched for huge amounts of money. Last but not least, all the electronics done by the Master Hypertriode. Guaranteed that people wil be pleasantly surprised at this setup, that includes a little something for everyone.

I am not usually effusive with praise, but this setup is really extraordinary. It wil be interesting to see what others think after a listen. It is testament to the unique creative disciplines of Mandy, Larry and Rene. A great team! Congratulations!

My heartfelt thanks to all who visited our (mandym, camotecue, pigdog, squirrelnutzipper and yours truly) room at the show! Though our sound was not for everyone's taste, we had fun and we enjoyed the music and everyone's company as what we intended to.
Thanks to detubo for highlighting the works of the DIY community for this year's show and my hat's off to all my fellow solder-fume sniffing comrades for showing their best! Till next! 8)

This is one of the rooms where I kept coming back to even I have to squeeze myself onto the always SRO crowd. To Chester, Dana, Rene, Larry and of course, master Mandy I hope to see you again next year with new and innovative audio creations. Congrats big time

Since I arrived (very late), I only had very limited time to roam around the rooms...of course I went straight to the record sellers, hehehe! But one room which I really like is your room...CONGRATULATIONS Rene, Mang Mandy, Chester, Dana and Larry! Truly and Proudly PHILIPPINE-made products!!

thank you.

it sounds good because of the synergy of all the components in the chain. much better if tucked tightly in corners.

Thanks Joey! Believe me we took your cue on going SET + horns (it's the way to go)! And besides you've been hogging the limelight for too long already; it's time you shared it with us buddy! ;)
I'm sure next year's show would be grander DIY-wise with the ever-evolving and innovative effort of HARANA, SETUP, TONO, TRODT, OUR group and whoever DIY personalities that may crop up (calling Anthony Audio, alexg and jojod! :) )

Me and Gilbert(philpath) thinks that your systems sirs were the closest thing that one can get from watching a live concert! :D Lahat tayong nagmamahal sa audio eh yun ang habol sa pagpili ng gears naten. . ., the holy grail of music. . .to reproduce music as if your hearing it live! That's what we felt when we heard your system! Congrats to your team and Godbless! :)
