I heard that this sounds really great, even with non exotic 6sn7s! This is a great circuit design that is very dynamic and quiet. I also heard that there are several orders for these already. Maybe someday soon I can pick up my unit, before it is sold!

Congratulations, Ed. I read about this unit in Arthur Salvatore's pages and he raves about the quality and sound. With Rene's great skill, I am certain this must be something very special. If one comes up for sale I would grab it immediately for myself. Enjoy!

Master Rene, what work did you do to edlo's piece. it's so uniformly perfect that i'm too clueless to tell.

Thank you kaboobs! Not much:
Mundorfed all signal and bypass caps
Upgraded all tube sockets to ceramic gold pins
Upgraded all in/out jacks to gold-plated RCA's
Upgraded B+ filter caps to audio-grade Nippon Chemicon's
Upgraded filament and B+ diodes to fast-recovery types
Upgraded regulator transistors to Motorola's
Upgraded input selector switch to silver contact sealed type
Converted passive circuit to series shunt attenuator
Upgraded signal wiring to SPC shielded cables
and the usual cosmetic detailing! ;)
