Asking for a friend...

Is there a budget entry level phono stage vacuum tube style?

Pls recommend...maybe 5k budget?

Budget too low for a true tube phono stage na hindi buffer young tube output. 5k - 8k is starter for entry-level solid-state phono stage from Rega/Pro-Ject/NAD.

Kung gusto buffer stage, get an entry-level solid state phono stage, then connect its output to a tube buffer, say a vintage X-10D or a Yaqin tube buffer.

Yaqin also make yata a tubed phono stage, but tube-buffered lang din young output.

5k is doable if you diy.....do it yourself.... 8)

if you ask somebody to do it for you, then expect to spend a lot more... ;)

Thanks for the inputs sir(s).

I understand that the budget constraint is a concern.

Will look into pre-owned phono amp.

I know this is an old post but this might help to others who wants to use a tube phono preamp. I just got a Little Bear T7 Phono Preamp and i am happy with it. No hum big fat good sweet sound. I think I like it more than my Bellari VP130 that cost a lot more than the LB T7. I am using it to run a Rek O Kut B 12H Rondine with Audio Technica AT12SA cartidge with stock stylus to a Little Bear P 3 Tube Preamplifier to a Luxman M113 Power amp to a Wharfedale W70 D. And it is very affordable. The have a more expensive model which is the LIttle Bear T 10 that is getting very good review in Vinyl engine and in Audiokarma. I am also usimg it as mono phono preamp with Harman Kardon Tube mono AM FM PHONO preamp for an GE RPX mono cartridge mounted on a modified Weathers tonearm, to a Kenwood L07M Power amplifier driving a single Klipsch Pro speaker, and I am very happy with it, no hum and big sound ideal for my mono need.

I also have very good experience with Little Bear tube amps, i got a P5 tube buffer & the P3 preamp.

Not sure if anyone is selling it in Manila. I got the P5 off eBay from a seller named: woshixionghui2010(hope I got it right!).
Very good customer service & communication.
The P3 is about US $75-80.The T10 about $ 155-160.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
