Haven't updated this thread for almost a year.

Here are some pics of my personal decks which I customized to blue.

-Frame cabinets were powder coated to soft blue
-Tone arm components were repainted to royal blue with automotive polyurethane paint
-Platters have been lightly refaced
-Rubber bases were also repainted
-Replaced the pitch ornament/aluminum pitch decal to black
-Replaced both pitch controls (for M3D/MK5)
-All LED lights replaced. Bright blue for the strobe and pitch indicator. Bright white for 33/45 rpm buttons and pop up/target lamp

Hope you guys like it.

-Rubber base repainted to matte black

-Repainted and refaced platter

Here are three decks brought to me by owner Mark Nicosia. He wanted the pair finished in bright yellow while the other unit in flat black. All three decks were powder coated. But unfortunately, they sprayed a wrong shade of yellow so I had to top them off with automotive polyurethane paint to a brighter shade of flat yellow. The black on the other hand is untouched from the powder coat finish. All tone arm sections have also been repainted with automotive acrylic paints and re-calibrated. Pitch controls have also been re-calibrated. All lights are replaced. Bright blue LEDs in the strobe and pitch indicator, bright white LEDs in the 33/44rpm switches and pop-up target lamps. Brande new aluminum pitch decal ornaments were also replaced. I also fabricated a switch knob on the black unit, All platters were are re-faced and repainted.

Oct 2013

Here's a pair I did for the Social Distortion group and was brought by Lito David. They came in really looking bad. SD wanted a black shiny paint. So that's what I did. Piano black finish using automotive polyurethane paint for the main cabinet frame and tone arm assembly. The rubber bases were painted in matte black, also finished with polyurethane paint. The switch assembly were replaced from MK2 to recessed/flushed knobs (provided by the owner) for M3D/MK5/M5G models. All lights were also replaced with UV colored LEDs (also provided by the owner). Platters were also repainted and re-faced (3-step). New aluminum pitch decal ornaments (black) were also replaced as well as new pitch controls. The RCA cables were also provided by the owner and used original Monster Cable. Lastly, decal labels were applied.

This 1200 deck belong to Anthony (Antz) Santiago of NBK. As seen on the pictures below, the condition was severe a lot of things had to be done to revive this precious turntable. The main cabinet frame is finished in matte silver using automotive polyurethane paint. While the tone arm section was repainted in flat black. Rubber base was painted to matte black. All lights replaced. Bright white LEDs for the strobe, 33/45 buttons and pop-up target lamp. Bright blue LED for pitch indicator. New pitch control was also installed as well as new aluminum pitch decal ornament. RCA cables and connectors were also replaced with internal ground modification. Repainted the platter and re-faced (3-step).

Sir there is no specific height adjustment standard. Because tone arm height setting will depend on what headshell, cartridge, needles, slip mat and thickness of vinyl records you use.

On an original Technics headshell with Shure M447 carts and needles and original Technics slip mat, My height is set to 1.5.
