post your newly acquired hardware

Postby BobT » Thu Jul 30, 2009 10:13 am

in the tradition of "post your newly acquired vinyl", this topic deals with vinyl-playing related hardware and accessories you have bought, built, or otherwise got free. the items may include turntables, tonearms, plinths, cartridges, stylus, mats, etc.

feel free to discuss your item(s).

mods, if this topic is redundant, feel free to delete.

for a start...

the upgrade kit for the rb250.
Image

1. the vta adjuster by michell engineering --- preferred over black vta adjusters to match the metallic tone in the l75 deck and the planned-structural upgrade.

2. the isoend and isoweight by isokinetik --- preferred because as an underslung weight, this is supposed to have lower center of gravity thus resulting to a stabler vertical movement. the reddish trimming matches the red accent in the nad-badged rb250. this is also cheaper than most structural upgrade kits sold in the market.

vertical force gauge --- more needed now because of my recent tonearms that don't have graduations at the counterweight and end stub.
