The dream came true - now on the wall ;)

finally! a childhood dream coming true!

after many weeks of reading, tweaking, reading, adjusting, tweaking, patience, patience, patience, the Eminent Technology Tonearm 2.5 is now mounted on my Oracle Delphi Mk II and making great music.

i find it to have better detail and extension than my SME Series III using the same Clearaudio Aurum Alpha cartridge.

a big thank you to you know who you are :D

i learned a lot in the process and came to know the ins and outs of the ET 2.5 tonearm. heck, it is one great masterpiece - all those carefully designed, small tolerance, high quality parts working together - incredible.

it does come with a price though, i cannot headbang in my room which is on suspended wooden floor anymore.... time for a wall mount option :o

yeah, i made my own mounting board and it allowed me to follow closely the measurements as stipulated in the manual. balancing it is now a breeze, i can do it with one eye closed :D

wisa, yeah, i wi-sa-have-mo-money... that pump is $200!!!!

oh by the way, i played a marathon 3-LP 1812 Overture, capped by the [in]famous Telarc version. guess what? no arms jumping :D played the entire track with a breeze :)

Welcome to the club! You will have your share of airpockets along the way but very rewarding in the big picture. The only problem you will encounter is with AIR. But the arm cannot be for the feint hearted. I don't see you as one, fighter! :D

I agree with Shoe Me to go for the Wisa in the future.

Ang ganda pagka mount mo. Really impressed me.

Congratulations! Yo d man :D

Just like airpockets, it can be unpredictable. But you're right, it's here to stay.

As much as i'd like to get a WISA budget permitting, they stopped production already.

xlrsilver,

i have considered two viable options:

a) ClosetMaid (c) wall mount which is at least 24" deep, for really big tables. Federal hardware have these but incomplete last time i checked,
b) No name wall brackets which is found at True Value ONLY at PowerPlant branch. These are around 20" and i would say medium-built with support.

Unfortunately, i found b) after i have bought a smaller wall bracket. Option b) is around 1,300 per pair, which option a) being branded (a a great brand to boot) is in 3K range.

Check them out.
