a friend is selling me his PL-50. it has no cartridge, no belt and is selling for P 1,300

If everything is operational, and if you can find a belt in Raon for this unit, OK na yan. :)

Basta turntable, it must be gooood. :)

Oscillate Wildly-
I'd ask other owners of PL-50s what the size of the belt is and try and source one out in Raon before getting the ttable. You can never say how well it works til you put on a cart and belt and play an LP. Another option is to borrow a belt from an owner of a PL-50 and try it out on your prospective new table before buying. At P1,300, its cheaper than a new Shure M44-7 cart. A new belt, I've been told, may set you back some P300.
