Hi Quiel, Maybe you can check out your circuit, the input cap could be used to isolate the grid from the input. I had one of these when I used fixed bias on the first stage. DC blocker Arnold would call it. You can used a diff value here. just compute the cutoff freq. = 1/(2*3.24*R*C ) - R being the grid to ground resistor.So with a smaller cap you can use a bigger resistor or the other way around using a smaller cap with a bigger resistor and you get the same cutoff freq.
Hi Brady, Will check those out. If you need DIY ICs I have some bullet plugs. can give you #34 magnet wires. they sound great! nice highs. the theory i learned here is that the thinner the wire the lower the resistance to high freq. so i just put several strands in a teflon tube to improve the bass. tough part here is the scraping of the varnish. cant burn it off. its too thin.
