AMP: Tono 300B!!

Postby vintage_dog » Mon Dec 29, 2003 1:57 pm

This may be a bit pre-mature, but we are so excited with the newly-tweaked 300B tube amp prototype, we thought we'll share the good news!

We have another possible winner amp here in the tradition of Tubong Bastos and the 'tono' preamp!

Features:
- 300B single-ended stereo amp 8wpc (3-4x the power of the TB2A3 amp)
- Proprietary WIREDSTATE design, tweaked, tuned by Pinoydiophles!
- point-to-point wiring
- AURICAP coupling caps
- BLACK GATE bias caps with extra bypass caps
- new chassis to match with the tono preamp
- brass faceplate
- high quality gold-plated input and speaker connectors
- NOS 5U4 tube rectifier, choke regulated
- NOS 6SL7 driver tubes included
- your choice of 300B power tubes (included are Electro Harmonix)
- Lifetime guarantee on repairs; 1 year on parts
- Extra heavy-duty hand-wound power and OPT transformers
- A lot of TLC from the DIY team!

All at a very special unbelievable price of about P2?k for the first 5 units.

Preorders accepted for delivery in February 2004!

Arnold brought the MA home earlier we were not able to test them with the 300b amp yesterday. Hopefully we can try them tomorrow...

From my experience, the MA likes a lot of power. The SS amps and the Eico Pushpull amps drove them well, but the 2A3 amp had some problems driving them.

the first 5 will get special discounts and special NOS tubes. it's their price for being bold and pioneering! we may also decide to have their names engraved on the faceplate...over 30k? frankly, we don't know yet, but we'll keep the prices as affordable as possible and as long as possible! afterall, we'd like our amps to give the best value in the market! :-)

btw, the amps carry a money-back guarantee, so buyers are practically risk-free. we are so confident in these amps, we will even give you additional money for all your trouble in the event you don't like it at all and return them within 30 days!

how about that? crazy deal huh?
