Need to replace one of the fuses on my Tono Violin preamp and inadvertently removed both fuses at the same time. Isang 2.5amp at .3amp. Which fuse goes in first?

the 0.3A should be ok. but if it keep on blowing during start up just change it to a 0.5A
2.5A is too much
The extra space in the fuse holder is just for a spare. its the inner one thats connected to the circuit.
