Any doctors in the house?

Postby stereophile » Sun Apr 24, 2005 9:24 am

I'm curious. There are bankers and insurance brokers. Both of whom are vinyl piranhas. I'd like to know how many doctors are members of WS. Another point of interest are their specialties. I'll start the ball rolling...

Hi.

I practiced internal medicine before I shifted to pain management more specifically
medical acupuncture. Never looked back. Have been enjoying it for the last 17 years!
No emergencies and no night calls. I am with Intercare Healthcare Systems.

Hi msm,
Yes. But I do the Greenhills side as I am very near the area. We now have a branch
in Unioil Center in Alabang to cater to the Southern Area.

Hi msm,

Chiropractic adjustments made by professional chiropractors are very safe procedures. Those that say these are bad are those with very few and limited encounters with chiropractors and the like. There are doctors who are open minded and know if they are already approaching the limit of their specialty and refer patients to us and likewise. I am quite lucky to have exposure in both fields and after being in this practice for almost 2 decades I think I can say with a measure of authority that eastern and western medicine or as they say mainstream and alternative medicine is indeed complementary. Both have its own strenght and weaknesses. As in any field especially if one's health and well being is concerned check the credentials of your care giver.

Is chiropractic procedures recommeded for the simple reason of relaxation, as in like having a thai massage or something :?: Or does the patient have to have a more pressing illness in order to be recommended to a chiropractor :?:

For simple relaxation I would recommend myotherapy. This is a scientific form of massage technique that targets the whole body more so the sore spots that you would like to be treated. Chiropractics deal more on spine alignment and the problems that arises from it like neck pain, shoulder pain, scoliosis, all forms of back pains and other related problems.

Hi joe3rp

Not yet. Maybe in the near future. The only needles that I use now
is intended for my patients and not for vinyls
