Villoria vs Gonzalez: March 2013

Postby pinoy_usa8 » Mon Nov 19, 2012 10:04 pm

Undefeated Nicaraguan WBA light flyweight king Gonzalez' record speak for itself, 34W-0-0- 28KO. he can easily go up to 3 pounds higher & challenge Villoria's WBA or WBO straps (32W-3-0-19KO).

This is a very good match & a real-final test for the hawaiian punch. if Brian will KO this Managuan then he will be remembered as one of the best P4P boxer on the planet on the lower weight class.

If Brian will fight the same as he fought the other night with Marquez, I can say he has a very good chance beating Gonzalez,..since Brian has a powered hooks on both hands while Roman had a hard time knocking Estrada on the same fight night with Brian.

Jr & Dave Penalosa- a fun to watch April 7 in Manila

Postby pinoy_usa8 » Wed Apr 03, 2013 9:06 pm

We'd seen how Penalosa Jr fought & crushed his opponent.

We havent seen how his brother Dave fight. Is he fun to watch like his bro?

Sergio Martinez vs Murray: April 28 Manila

Postby pinoy_usa8 » Sat Apr 27, 2013 6:07 pm

Matthew Macklin fought Martinez before. I guess Martinez should fight Golovkin next, why duck?

Well, you never know if Martinez will have the same KO'ed like of those Paul Williams, he might call Golovkin after the fight, right?

cross your fingers.

Alvarado vs Provodnikov

Postby pinoy_usa8 » Fri Oct 18, 2013 10:17 pm

expect an all action pack on this fight. (saw the Bradley vs Provodnikov?)
this kid can punch and had the power in both hands.
if Alvarado will come toe to toe & brawl in front of Ruslan, even Alvarado's granite chin might break.

When Alvarado won the rematch against Brandon Rios, he boxed & select his target & brawl once in awhile.
using this game plan again might be an easy decision for him.

But, Provodnikov loves to brawl & chase.
thats why, it makes this fight very exciting & could be a candidate for Fight of the Year.

For Alvarado to win, he should box (a boring game plan)

I give Provodnikov an edge bcoz of his powered hammer/chopping blows. (he might catch Alvarado's jaw in the later rounds)

Bro its Alvarado vs. Provodnikov.

Let's see how good Provo in cutting the ring. Mike Alvarado won't brawl. That'll be stupid. He'll be mobile and he will box.
Provo is tough on the whiskers and heavy on the hands. If he's able to corner Alvarado, Alvarado will fall.

Rigondeaux vs Agbeko

Postby pinoy_usa8 » Sat Dec 07, 2013 12:13 am

Remember this cuban Rigo? when he ended the winning streak of Donaire for 12 long yrs (if i remember it right)
After Donaire TKO'ed Darchinyan last month, he wants a rematch w/ the Cuban. Do you think Donaire will win?
Rigo accept the challenge & he wants to see Donaire in the ring together w/ him by April 2014.
But the manager & promoter of Donaire preferred another fighter to dance w/ him. why do you think his promoter dont want Rigo for Donaire?
Is your guess, same as mine?

Back to this,... I dont think either, Kingkong Agbeko will win against the pure undefeated boxer in Rigondeaux.

will this be a boring fight?

Rigo is pure technique. But I think in this fight he will show some "forward moves". Agbeko is not Donaire. In Rigo's fight against Donaire he was overly circumspect on account of Donaire's vaunted power and speed. Rigo came out victorious but failed to impress. To erase the impression that he was a boring fighter he'll show some fire in this fight. I think he's out to prove that he can stir the crowd with excitement and action. He ought to do this. Otherwise he wouldn't sell.

Much as I wanted our guy to win, I certainly didn't find Rigo boring.

bai cong,.. if he dont mix it up, its very hard for his manager to market even he's undefeated-- no excitement.
after he beat Donaire, Team Rigo thought offers will come left & right, but it didnt because no promoter wants to bank roll or bid the purse.

he got the opportunities to showcase his wares last night w/ the slower Kingkong mixing it up, but he decided to pressed his gas pedal.

I hope he will next time para ma belong siya sa elite, aside being a PPV asset.

Totoo Bai. Making everything look too easy is only marketable when easy means a stoppage and not points. People want to see blood.
