just arrived from a turntable setup gig.....sharing to you what i've listened to

Ive never been a fan of smallish speakers because its either they are satisfying in terms of frequency range or they bully your ears with frequency bumps. I think because of its capabilities, the bigger speakers are near complete in range and more pleasant to the ear. Never been a trying hard showoff. In fact ever since i got my jbl, those who've seen it would comment how brutal it will sound but to their surprise when it how delicate it sings.

anyhow it was just a brief listening session yesterday, most of our time was spent on the turntable setup and some kitchen session hehe. you are correct Al. i tried to shot the pair but it wouldnt fit in the screen. one piece spans about 4 ft. However even how humungous it would look, its singing character is very different. So nimble and so finesse. very very enjoyable that even at very low volume sings completely. do not even harass you but rather just nonchalantly enjoys singing.

just a brief history, the owner neighbor friend previously has the jbl ti 5000 which was singing beautifully already...saw this pair in japan and went into the trouble of bringing it in complete not chopping down the components. talk about passion dba? For quite some time now was inviting me for a listening session but have constantly declined it until yesterday when the turntable needs some adjustment. Going home, was talking to myself... i should have gone there earlier.

im hoping to be back soon. promise to bring a better cam next time.

This one is from a recent project where i went for a cartridge installation. It's the usual stacks of audio video gears.
What caught my attention though is the large vinyl clock. A 16inch record as base maybe. Minute arm is a tonearm even. A very nice accent to a dedicated audio/video room.



If I'll do a DIY of this...instead of 1 to 12, i'll put in numbers from 1 to 33 hehe

Nice find, Nols! Marami nyan sa Galle. 331/3 clocks and 45 rpm variants as well. Meron ding vinyl coasters.

They really are required to be placed in cornes because the walls serve as extensions of the basshorns. Otherwise, the bass will not go that low.

I made similar cabinets that are still in the shop but was not able to do a complete build due to other priorities. The klipschorn is what got me into horns.

Larry, this one though as you can see is not placed on the most common 45 deg angled. but maybe because of the small space, the bass is just right. sarap talaga pag effortless especially on vocals
