While waiting for some news and a call from Noly to audition Philpath's upgraded Rega P3-24, and since it was Labor day(no work), I decided to tweak my Rega P3-24 which I learned from the internet and meet some old friends later in the evening.
I applied sound deadening material(dynamat like. i like the color of black bitumen) on the bottom surface of the platter and also around the spindle and pulley housing. i also constructed a brace made from the same material running from the tonearm assembly down to the spindle housing(copied Rega's brace design ). Well. I fired it up later and I've noticed a slight increase in detail and bass and slight lowering of the noise floor(although the tt already sits on a wall rack)

Thanks klasmeyt! The rega tt is really a highly tweakable turntable and will give you years of listening pleasure! The bitumen increased the rigidity of the plinth aside from absorbing unnecessary and unwanted vibrations though it did not add weight to the rega because it is very light thus preserving tatang Gandys preference for a lighter yet rigid plinth!. Bought 1 large sheet from Mickeys the other day! Next stop will be the double pulley and dual silicon belt from Michael and an audiomods tonearm! Bwahahaha! :D
