TASLENCO: some projects done lately-1st qtr 2016

At THE ANALOG SOURCE, we pride ourselves with every LENCO we rebuild.
This is a B52 model with a lighter steel platter (lighter is a mismomer though as it weighs about 2kg. however that of the L-series is much much heavier).
It came in with a damage idler wheel causing rumbling and wows. The arm's plating have already stripped off but what worries us more is the unaligned pivot as shown in one of the pictures. The original plinth is also in very bad shape.
The owner has one specific request and that to keep the cost of restoration to a minimum so we can only commit on the performance.
Idler wheel remanufactured. Motor and spindle overhauled. Tonearm aligned. All of these makes this table run like new. We can only do so much with the cosmetics to keep down cost but we believe it is now very decent to display and post pictures online.
Total cost is less than a grand. We hope that this will encourage people to look for the best turntable of all times sitting around somewhere. Hope to see you soon and lets give your LENCO a new lease of life.
NOW PLAYING...LENCO B52 MK2
special thanks to Doc Lito for the f1.2....so warm so analog.
