===================================================================================================================

My turntable had a lot of battering....no not from the number of lps it played but from heartbreaking jokes like ...san galing to? sa saudi..... sisirain ang mga plaka mo ng arm nyan....hindi bagay sa audiophile mo yan

So, one night with nothing to do..it just hit me to go to a point of no return (no auto-return, that is). :)

here is my working table....i wished i had the S&R table doc and dante have for a more professional working space.

Image

the table - KENWOOD KD 5077 FULLY AUTOMATIC :$ (bakit ba nakinig pa ko sa kanila :@ )

Image

upside down view...ready for dismantling

Image

what's inside....

the fully automatic cueing mechanism and tone arm assembly

Image

the motor and the power supply circuits. what i like much about this table is the very low motor noise which is what you'll get i think from low-torque motor thus it is possible to get a clearer imaging even from a direct drive.

Image

the switches....that block on the left upper hand is made of cement or something like that to add weight (around 2 kg) thereby reducing resonance and unwanted vibrations to the plinth.

Image

my assistant...

Image

to be continued....

Brader Noly,

My TT is a Sansui XR-Q7 (direct drive). Malamang Saudi din!
Depending on what will be the outcome of your WIP.....
I might do the same.
Walang sikretuhan ha?
It's all about the music, di ba?
Keep it up, and good luck!

checking the electricity and switches.

Image

working...

there used to be 2 buttons. the first one (button1) is START/STOP where when pressed would start to cue the tonearm and where pressed again would return the arm to base. the other one (button2) is a replay button where when pressed would set the arm where it last played.

i rewired the switches such that button2 is the start button to start the motor and button1 is the stop button to stop the motor.

Image

button1 is on the right. button2 is on the left
