Test

Postby mozilla » Mon Jan 20, 2003 12:20 pm

This BB is using phBB which is a great BB software. It allows better tracking of threads than a mailing list.

Though what about those members w/o browsing access (just email)? :?:
Where do we post pix like members' systems and eb's? Will make kapa...

The following are test posts - pls disregard:

Same thing here. It's possible that it's the server where the image is located. Can we try images coming from a different server?

Here's a test message from WiredState.com. Hope it works.

link to images on pbase only works when an image was viewed hence a "generated" image exists. after a while, the temporary image disappears, and so does your link here. so pbase is BAD for image linking.

Photos, Database

Postby mozilla » Wed Jan 22, 2003 10:55 pm

Russel, VD, Ziggyboy,

How do we allocate/configure space where members can 1. post their pix (systems, eb's, etc.); 2. post the database of systems, links, files etc.

Does phbb allow something to that effect? Otherwise membbers will have to post a message:

1. With their name in the subject portion;
2. and in the message section, upload pix of their systems

Or something like that..

I think it's also possible as an html portion of the site... :?:

Pictures cannot be uploaded to on the webserver by users. They have to upload the pictures elsewhere and just link it to their messages.

:D

hey mickey, yes, we're trying the features of this site and bulletin board software. if our "trial" group gives teh thumbs up, we may migrate the current pinoydiophiles forum here.

as you can see, this offers better topic management, more features, etc. we just have to stress-test and explore all features....
