Tony's passive pre-amp

Postby tony » Mon Mar 07, 2011 12:51 pm

inspired by this article, http://users.ece.gatech.edu/mleach/papers/stepatten/stepatten.pdf and brought about by a need to have a volume control for use on power amps that do not have such facilities, i decided to make one.

i chose 50k as nominal value of this audio tapered volume control as i felt it can be used on both solid state and tubed gears...

the 22 step selector switch was from Lin li-Chun in Taiwan and the resistors, casing are from Alexan, they are 1% 1/4 watters, the rca jacks are from Golden Mars...

I've been wanting to do this project, but couldn't get passed that 22 step selector switch :(
