Speaking of B1 pre-amp. I know you heard both the Original B1 and the DCB1...Whats your take on this Papa's creation?

I'll take a shot at replying to this... I'm currently using a hotrodded DCB1. It sounds more fluid than the stock DCB1 circuit (but runs HOT!)

Doc's current B1 is a hybrid of sorts - it has a single supply hotrodded Salas Shunt regulator. (So it runs hot too!). He can best explain the sonic differences between the B1 (stock) and Hotrodded Salas Shunt(ed) B1 :)

No reason why it shouldn't be a good match (electrically and sonically) since impedence matching won't be an issue, and it's a quiet, transparent circuit all by itself. :)

Will invite myself over when them tubes arrive Doc!
