DIYer... Another Hidden Talent outside our Community

Postby reynold » Wed Aug 27, 2008 7:30 pm

First of all, to our moderator, Sir Kabubi...
- Thanks alot for allowing me to post and introduce my cousin and his work in this board... Maraming-maraming Salamat Sir :)

Good Day my Wiredstate co-Members :)

I have a cousin who's into Tube Amp and Tube Pre-Amp DIY for i think 7 years or more now and won alot of awards in some Audio shootout contest. And me as one of his client was impressed by his job especially with the Sound quality of most of his projects (Tube Amps). You can also ask Mr. Edrel Sison, our beloved co-member here in Wiredstate.com about my cousin's credibility in Tube Amps DIY-ing, i believe Edrel is a Kumpare of my cousin :)

To Sir Edrel Sison, i hope you dont mind, for mentioning your name in this post, i just want to help my cousin and introduce him and his works to other members. Thanks :)

To our Mods and readers of this post,
The reason why i posted this is that, my cousin is not really a computer geek, he really don't know how to use computers kaya di sya makapag-member sa Wiredstate and PinoyDVD or other Audio sites. I'm just helping him to be known in our community, nakakapanghinayang kasi ang talent nya. I hope we can support someone like him ;)

DIYer !?

I DON'T THINK SO!

This level of workmanship is more of a MASTER CRAFTSMAN, more like HYPERTRIODE !

I don't know him or have heard of his work...but they look really good and complicated!

It is about about time to differentiate DIYer and MASTER CRAFTSMAN like these guys.

Thank You Reynold for introducing Ruel to WS. Let me add a few word,

Ruel is still young I think 27 yrs old lang siya. Bata pa yan madalas nang

sumali sa stereo contest dito sa Malabon. In fact siya ang nanalo nung

huling malakihang bakbakan Dec. 31/06. I think Ruel can contribute a lot

to WS.

reynold, ruel is very fortunate to have someone like you helping him showcase his work. are you kidding? of course i dont mind my name being mentioned. i am very proud of ruel that at his very young age, has already explored both worlds, ss and tubes at a very fast pace. he started young, 15 years old i think. lots of audio competitions toughened up this guy. setbacks has not discouraged him and he always comes back armed no matter what.

so if you are looking for an audio research SP3 preamp and dont have the budget to buy the original, you may want to try his cloned SP3. I believe they have compared an original SP3 vs. his cloned but i will leave the feedback of the result to ruel and mang toti.

as hypertriode stated, there are a number of very passionate craftsmen, fans of old school audio in the camanava area. competitions keep the flame alive, the passion burning inspite of very limited resources. the center of it all, our hometown in dampalit in malabon where mind boggling set ups exist. imagine a speaker set up no smaller than an american sized fridge contained in an owner's home of less than 35 sq. meters total.. :D :D the owner will just open up his big window and you can enjoy listening across the road. you can never do that in other place lest you are living far from your neighbors. but people here don't mind, they are so used to it, and enjoy them..

the only problem as always is that we are pestered by floods. so it is very normal when you see a resident and his friends carry his big box of speakers to move it out or up where the high tide of waters wont be able to touch the bottom of their beloved sets.. :D :D :D

so congratulations ruel, and reynold for opening up these things in WS. more power!
