try to PM noctilux i remember his order from parts connection got mixed up & ended up getting 2 sets of inductors for his speakers, so he has an extra set of really good inductors

also inductors & transformers are made using the same basic principles so edrel sison might be able to make some for you

I think I have spare copper foil inductors, 1.0 mh and 0.15mh, 2 pieces each. Danny's correct, they sent me twice the amount I needed. The brand is "Solo" which I think has closed down a few years ago. I though of using them for another project but never materialized. Copper foil has lower DC resistance due to the bigger cross section. My experience is it greatly improved dynamics as well as higher headroom for clipping. I thought that it was the driver's limitation then but apparently the bottleneck was the inductor!

I bought a 3-way x-over sa Guadalupe for around 350/pair. Habol ko lang yung inductor , I changed the caps and use OTA wires. I'm fine with it.

how did you find out the value of the inductor ?

May label sa mga LP/HP cut-off. That's enough for me. ;)

Dai-ichi crossovers have an indication on parts rating/value, as well as the cut off frequencies.

I think I need 2mH, but I need very low resistance.

i often see coils made out of copper tubes --- not wires --- in RF tuning circuits. why is that?

"skin" effect, at very ,very high frequencies, current travels only at the surface of the conductor, making the inside useless....therefore using a hollow copper tubes is resorted to in this cases, we are talking 100's of megaherts here......

i see ... never saw them in low freq amps. But very often in RF. especially in those old tube RF transmitters. I think the reason they'd use "sheets" instead of "wires" on the plate is also probably due to this skin effect phenom.
